			*The Stone Tree* Privacy Policy Your privacy is important to us. While we do not currently collect any personally identifiable information** on the Stone Tree website, we believe it is important to share with our visitors how we use the information we do collect. Surveys, Polls, and Illustration Submissions Through May 5, 2006, the Stone Tree website will be under development by Nancy Ross in fulfillment of the requirements for a Masters of Professional Studies (MPS) degree from New York University. In addition to being used to inform the story and improve the site, all information collected in surveys and polls will be used as part of Ms Ross' thesis paper and presentation. All survey and poll forms and all fields in those forms are optional. Submissions to the Idea Forum and in response to calls for illustrations will be screened prior to posting to the website for appropriateness and to ensure that the only identifying information is first name, city, and state (or country). If additional information has been inadvertently included in the submission, it will be removed before posting and deleted from all project records. Beyond May 5, 2006, the site will continue as a personal project. All survey and poll forms and fields in those forms will continue to be optional. Additional Information Regarding Illustrations If e-mail is used to submit an illustration for use on the Stone Tree site, the sender's e-mail information will be immediately purged from our records. Cookies We do not currently use cookies on our site. Web Visit Logs Aggregate web logs are used to produce general site statistics reports, such as most frequently visited pages, which help us improve the site. Important Note About Revisions to this Policy Because the Stone Tree site is under extensive development, it is possible that we will add features in the near future that require collecting personal information, such as e-mail addresses. Should that occur, the website privacy policy will be updated as appropriate. To ensure that our visitors are aware of updates, we will include a prominent additional link to our privacy policy on any added features collecting identifiable personal information. *Third Parties* The Stone Tree website will never share personally identifiable information with third parties. A more comprehensive policy will be written if features are added that collect this information, but any policy will include a prohibition on sharing personally identifiable information, such as e-mail addresses, with third parties.
