It was a hopeless task. Twenty-four seventh grade students sat in front of her, and not one of them was paying attention. Most of them were too busy watching the fluffly white clouds outside drift by on the beautiful blue sky. She almost wished she didn't have windows. The principal arrived at her classroom door, motioning for her to step out in the hallway for a moment. Ah well, she thought, she could use a break.
"Class, please open your text books to page 112 and read the passage on the extinction of the woolly mammoth. I'll be right back."
